Your skin is your first defense, and cold weather attacks it 3 ways

Cold air outside, dry heat inside, wind in between. Your skin stands between you and all of it, and every skin type feels the strain. Here is what is actually happening.

  • Hydration disappears into the air.

    Cold air holds less moisture, and heated rooms hold almost none. Together they pull water out of your skin from morning to night, leaving it tight after washing and lined by evening. A warm-weather moisturiser cannot keep up with that. Cold weather asks for deeper hydration that holds.

  • The surface goes dull and rough.

    When skin is dry, dead cells stop shedding evenly. They build up into the dull, flaky, uneven surface that makes cold-weather skin look tired, and makes every cream absorb worse. What skin needs is gentle renewal, and this is exactly the season it can handle it.

  • The barrier wears down.

My skin is reactive. For years, cold weather meant tightness, redness and a face that stung every time I stepped outside. I thought winter was simply a season my skin had to survive.

I am a pharmacist, so I did what pharmacists do. I read, I researched, and I tested everything on my own skin first. And I found the opposite of what I expected: cold weather is not the enemy of skin. It is the season skin repairs best, when there is no strong sun to punish renewal, and the night can finally do its deepest work.

Once I stopped defending my skin against winter and started working with it, gentle renewal, deeper hydration, rich repair at night, everything changed. I now come out of the cold months with the best skin of my year.

This is the routine my own skin trusts when the weather turns cold.

Why does my skincare need to change in cold weather?

Because your skin’s environment changes, and your skin is the first thing standing against it. Cold air and indoor heating pull water out, wind wears the barrier down, and dryness leaves a dull, uneven surface behind. The light textures that served you in the heat give too little now. Skin with different needs deserves a different routine.
Only 3 products. Is that really enough for winter?

In cold weather, yes. Your skin has 2 jobs in this season: hold its water through the day and rebuild itself at night. 3 products cover both. Cold-weather skin does not need more products, it needs richer, more targeted ones, and we would rather give you less that you will actually use every day than a shelf you will abandon by midwinter.
Does this routine work for my skin type?

Yes. It is formulated for all skin types: oily, dry, combination and normal. Cold weather pushes every skin type in the same directions, with less water, a duller surface and a strained barrier, and these 3 products answer those needs without overloading any skin type. If your skin is sensitive, see the next question.
Is it gentle enough for sensitive skin?

Yes. Mandelic acid is the gentlest of the exfoliating acids, chosen exactly because it renews without the sting. Every formula is free of parabens, sulfates and PEGs, contains zero alcohol, and is clinically tested for safety. The fragrances we use are natural. Every full ingredient list is published on our site, so if your skin has known triggers, you can check each formula against them before you order.
How do the 2 night steps work together?

On 2 to 3 nights a week, apply a few drops of the night solution after cleansing and let it absorb, then follow with the night cream. On all other nights, the night cream goes on alone. That rhythm gives your skin steady renewal without ever asking too much of it.
Can I use the night solution together with retinol?

Not in the same week. Mandelic acid and retinoids both drive renewal, and skin needs room to rest between them. If retinol is part of your routine, alternate: a week of one, then a week of the other, with the night cream every night either way.
Why exfoliate in winter and not in summer?

Because renewal leaves skin briefly more delicate, and strong sun punishes delicate skin. In warm months we keep exfoliation light for exactly that reason. In cold months the sun steps back, and your skin can finally take the deeper renewal it needs. That is why our strongest night treatments belong to this season.
Will the night cream feel too rich for oily skin?

No. It is richer than a day texture, and that is deliberate: it goes on when your skin has all night to absorb it, so by morning there is nothing sitting on the surface. Cold weather dehydrates oily skin too, it just hides it under shine, and rebuilding water at night is what keeps oiliness from swinging out of balance by day.
Do I still need sunscreen in cold weather?

In the morning, yes. The sun is gentler in this season, which is exactly why your skin can renew more deeply, but it has not disappeared. Keep your usual SPF as your last morning step, especially in the weeks you are exfoliating.
Can I use it with the products I already own?

Yes. These 3 replace your daytime moisturiser and your night cream for the cold months, and add the gentle renewal most routines are missing. Keep your own cleanser, and targeted products you already love, like an eye cream or a treatment serum, fit around them without conflict. If you wear makeup, remove it first, then cleanse.
When will I see results?

Skin feels the difference from the first few uses, and comfort changes first: no more tightness after washing. The visible difference comes in 7 to 10 days of daily use, when the dull surface lifts and skin starts looking smoother and more even.
